Nice to meet you! Like so many I grew up watching Bob Ross on the TV. I’d often thought about trying oil painting but was quite intimidated by it. I dabbled in many other artistic areas over the years and even attempted to replicate Bob Ross in acrylic before finally deciding to try oil painting. I found a class offered by a local Bob Ross instructor and signed up. He was taught by Bob Ross and Annette Kowalski directly! Under his guidance I learned the techniques and continued enjoying his classes over the years until I ultimately decided to become a Bob Ross certified instructor myself. I taught friends and family during the time I was completing certifications and then ultimately started offering classes to the public to help bring the joy of painting to others.
Painting is a fantastic creative outlet, and whether you paint to sell paintings or just for your own enjoyment I’ll help you develop skills in the techniques. You’ll be able to watch Bob Ross and paint along with him as well.
Whatever your goals, if you join my classes I look forward to painting with you!
Certification involves attending at one of the Bob Ross workshops offering instructor training and certification. We complete a series of paintings over 3 weeks per certification. Instructors demonstrate skills in the techniques, ability to teach the techniques.
I am a CRI, CRFI, CRWI listed in the Bob Ross certified instructors website.

Subjects
Including certified Bob Ross classes in landscape, seascape, and custom spacescape paintings. these are usually a full painting of the scene and cover techniques used for various backgrounds, sky, clouds, sunrise, sunset, mountains and other rock/stone elements. Water features may include waterfalls, lakes, ocean, waves, rivers. Various forms of vegetation are usually in the landscapes like trees, bushes and wildflowers. Spacescapes are generally scenes in space with various stars, planets, nebulas.
Certified Bob Ross classes in floral painting covers techniques used for backgrounds, various leaves and greenery, filler and different types of flowers. Paintings may include containers such as pots, baskets or vases as well.
Certified Bob Ross classes in wildlife painting cover various backgrounds and scenes surrounding the wildlife as well as mammals, birds, water creatures (fish, dolphins etc), domestic animals. These painting often have an acrylic component as well as the oil painting.
How private & group classes work
A group painting class involves the instructor guiding attendees through the painting and techniques. Each attendee is situated with an easel, canvas, brushes and paints/mediums. Attendees may elect to sit or stand. The instructor will demonstrate each step of the painting process with how to mix colors if needed, which color to use, load the brush or tools with paint, and finally apply to the canvas to reach the desired effect. Attendees will then attempt the step. The instructor will circulate reviewing progress and helping as needed.
- Small breaks are included and for longer classes a lunch break.
- Most classes complete the painting during the event, unless otherwise noted.
- Some classes may have a pre-prepared canvas supplied. This is generally an acrylic/gesso background. Instructions for preparing the canvas will be shared if attendees would like to replicate the painting on their own.

Host at your venue
If you are interested in hosting a painting demonstration, group or private painting class at your venue, please contact me to arrange details. You may select the painting for the event from a supplied list or if you have something specific in mind arrangements may be made. Painting demonstrations would involve painting live in front of your audience or at a public venue/market.
